What is TOGAF?
The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), is used by organizations to design an IT infrastructure that is adapted to meet their requirements. TOGAF ensures that their systems can stand the test of time and evolve with the organization’s complexity by implementing consistency across the technology landscape and providing alignment between different teams.
TOGAF was created in 1995 and is currently maintained by The Open Group, an independent industry association. It was build on an earlier framework known as Technical Architecture Framework for Information Management (TAFIM), originally devised by the U.S. Defence Dept.
