Set the Tone for Collaboration Among your Colleagues

Posted on November 28, 2021July 26, 2022 by Marbenz Antonio

THRIVING TEAMS are formed on good interactions, a clear and common goal, trust, and equal voice. Their members converse comfortably, listen to, and they learn from one another, foster diversity, and they share values and accountability Teams that make a difference are receptive and proactive in their collaboration.

Collaborizza will assist your team in exploring, assessing, and developing these critical collaborative characteristics, whether you are a team leader or a team member.

Collaborizza was created specifically to be self-delivered, gives your team a way to lead itself through a quality-rich complete team development session conversation, open sharing, and new perspectives

Collaborizza will guide a team to:

  • Discover what they require to succeed and how to improve communication inside and between teams.
  • Use skills and tools to foster constructive collaboration and make an impact.
  • To increase everyday teamwork, utilize the six characteristics that drive collaboration as a lens.
  • Individual follow-up materials should be used to expand on workshop outcomes and discuss practical collaborative activities for their team.

How Does it Work?

The kit includes everything you need to organize a half-day group workshop and individual follow-up activities for up to 12 team members (tools, templates, and instructions). The team guides themselves through a unique set of team development conversations and diagnostic tasks, with one team member acting as Session Guide and writing their findings in the Team Workbook as they go. Individuals leave the workshop with their own Team Member Journal and a pack of Collaborizza Cards to further investigate the team’s findings and determine how they will apply these outcomes in their regular work practice. As a team takes themselves through the engaging group process, discussing and documenting their discoveries, they will find their ideal way to collaborate and create the trust and connection required for innovative cooperation. They will see the change and will know what to do to improve and thrive even more.

What are the  Outcomes?

At the end of the group session and individual follow-up exercises, team members will have:

  • Experienced fun, high-quality team discussion with open communication and new ideas that will be carried over into daily teamwork.
  • A unique visual record of the things they believe they require to grow and the influence they wish to have — documented in the Team Workbook.
  • A team assessment of the six components of team collaboration (belonging, trust, engagement, autonomy, competence, and sense of progress)
  • Agreed on specific quick-win initiatives to improve their collaboration.
  • Explored how they may personally connect with and contribute to the team’s intended collaborative impact — all of which was documented in each team member’s Team Member Journal.

What’s in the Box?

A Collaborizza kit includes materials to run a half-day workshop for a team of up to 12 participants and a 45-minute individual follow-up activity for each team member. Each participant receives a pack of Collaborizza Cards, a Team Member Journal, and a sheet of vision stickers. Extra sheets of
vision stickers and templates are included for group work during the workshop session.

What is Six Sigma and How to use it?

Posted on November 16, 2021 by Marbenz Antonio

What is Six Sigma?

The term “sigma” refers to how far a system or manufacturer can get from perfect—by Six Sigma standards, corporations should minimize production errors to fewer than 3.4 per 1 million units.

Businesses utilize the Six Sigma methodology to enhance processes by recognizing the flaws that cause substantial damage and launching new management once the problems have been corrected. The methodology works best with repetitive, assembly-line-style procedures in which individual steps can be identified, inspected, and optimized.

How to Use Six Sigma Effectively?

Six Sigma was originally created for manufacturing, but it is currently used in a variety of industries. However, because organizations in many industries have implemented this practice does not necessarily imply that they have done it appropriately or effectively. Even in a production facility, Six Sigma frequently fails to produce the kind of outcomes required to justify such a time-consuming and costly management transformation.

Six Sigma demands buy-in from all parties involved in order to perform properly. Implementing and training staff on Six Sigma methodology and implementation demands a significant initial expense.

Steps of Six Sigma

The Six Sigma program management procedures, commonly known as DMAIC, are fairly clear and simple.

  • Define the issue. Make a problem formulation, an objective statement, a project scope statement, a customer needs list, and a flowchart.
  • Measure the existing procedure. Gather information about present performance and issues. Check the data for accuracy and change the project charter if appropriate.
  • Analyze the source of the problem. Evaluate the procedure and information that was gathered, show the data, analyze and verify what’s causing the problems, and keep the scope statement updated as necessary.
  • Improve the procedure. Determine problem-solving solutions and develop work plans for those innovative solutions. Take the necessary actions to install the new improvements and continue to monitor progress.
  • Control. Optimize the new framework, keep an eye on it, and apply what you learn elsewhere in the company if needed.

Alternative Project Management Methods

Scrum approach: As an agile methodology, scrum employs an incremental solution that enables small members to work on projects at the same time, testing and modifying courses as needed to complete projects rapidly.

Kanban: Using flashcards to visually depict and organize project work, Kanban boards monitor the project across stages to maintain team members informed on the very same page.

Agile methodology: Agile develops deliverables through iterative nature to constantly revise until a final result is achieved, focused on customer needs.

Understanding Change Management

Posted on November 8, 2021 by Marbenz Antonio

What is Change Management?

Change management is a word that refers to an orderly process to executing a strategic change inside of an organization. The organization not only outlines the processes necessary for change but also encourages and assists employees in transitioning to it. Moreover, it establishes means for monitoring the modification to determine whether or not it was implemented successfully.

Making organizational-wide changes is a difficult task. It is a time-consuming procedure that necessitates many distinct components inside the company banding together and working as a single group. This is why change management is frequently used to structure organizational-wide cooperation. This method reduces the possibility of failure.

Reason Why Change Tends to Fail

Change is frequently disruptive. This indicates that if leading figures do not have a strategy for dealing with people’s responses, the change would fail. Then again, people are the primary reason why change initiatives fail.

An excellent method to avoid this is to emphasize communication and information sharing, make sure that individuals and groups are informed of what is needed of them as well as how to accomplish it. They also need to be able to observe the outcomes of the modification as it is executed piece by piece.

Change Management’s Importance

When a company sees the need for change, it signifies it seeks to be more responsive to its surroundings. Organizations can reap a wide range of benefits if change management is executed correctly. Organizations can use change management to:

  • Enhance their probability of successful change implementation.
  • Integrate the change with the company’s vision and objectives.
  • Reduce the amount of time and money needed to accomplish change.
  • Provide the resources needed to accomplish the change.
  • Assist and support staff in adapting to the change.
  • Reduce any inconveniences and dangers that the change may create to business operations.
  • Reduce any tension and fear that employees may be feeling like a part of the change.
  • Learn to deal with the volume and regularity of change that occurs inside your organization.
  • Minimize the adverse impact of badly managed change that occurred.
  • Handle problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Enhance how employees interact and collaborate.
  • Implement adjustments that will help them become more sustainable and efficient.

Change management should be considered by any company that is committed to executing change. Many firms have attempted to manage change without it, wasting resources and making personnel resistant to change. All of this can be prevented with change management, as change can be conducted to put the organization in a better position than it used to be previously.

APMG Introduces Digital Badges for Accredited Training Organizations.

Posted on November 8, 2021 by Marbenz Antonio

APMG is delighted to announce the availability of digital badges for their respected Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs).

APMG

Almost 125,000 APMG digital badges have been distributed to date.

Since their debut, digital badges have increased in popularity at an exponential rate. A large number of APMG applicants and trainers have embraced the recognized, digital representation of their certifications and made it their first option as a portable, accessible, and secure means to demonstrate their professional skills.

New APMG Accredited Training Organization digital badges

Due to popular demand, APMG is pleased to announce the awarding of ‘Accredited Training Organisation’ digital badges to their global network of ATOs. This secure and dynamic digital certification is only awarded to organizations that have successfully completed and passed APMG’s thorough and independent evaluation process.

APMG accreditation honors an organization’s dedication to providing great training services through a series of rigorous examinations that include questioning of the quality of materials, training delivery, and administrative expertise.

What exactly does an APMG Accredited Training Organization digital badge mean?

ATOs who have been awarded digital badges can proudly show their accredited credentials on their website, digital communications, and social media channels, communicating to potential customers the quality of their instruction. Accreditation and the ATO badges are proof of the high quality of services they provide when delivering the APMG course(s) for which they have been accredited.

#Lookforthebadge

We urge candidates to check for the APMG ATO badge when looking for a course and picking a Training Provider since it will give you confidence that the organization you are considering has invested in and received this independent certification of the quality of their training.
