  • Energy providers are equally diverse in what “future-ready” looks like. To monitor and improve oil fields, XTO Energy, an Exxon Mobil affiliate, deployed Azure IoT. Knowing that their tools and technologies would need to scale exponentially, Allego built their rapidly expanding EV charging infrastructure using the Azure database as a service (DBaaS). E.ON developed a technology based on machine learning and IoT to track and redistribute energy across a whole district’s or city’s grid to significantly lower energy consumption. Energy production facilities may monitor and evaluate industrial assets with the help of Metroscope’s large-scale digital twin solutions, which can then be used to improve operational insights and lower emissions.
  • A network of data sensors was used by customer goods companies like Grupo Bimbo to oversee all the bread equipment on a factory line, increasing the speed and efficiency of production. With highly customized coffee brewing preferences, Keurig Dr. Pepper used Azure IoT Central to optimize the at-home customer experience. This data is transmitted to corporate R&D for more focused and expedited product development.
  • Iberia Express, a significant competitor in the low-cost airline market, is one example of a transportation company that used AI to build a loyal customer base by providing immediate and individualized passenger experiences. To improve the way it monitors its construction sites, Italian rail infrastructure manager Ferrovie Dello Stato Italiane used AI, AR, and drone technologies.
  • During Covid, healthcare organizations like CAE Healthcare were able to switch from employing physical intelligent patient mannequins that mimic a patient’s conditions to virtual mannequins using Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and Azure Functions, which increased their reach and training possibilities.
  • GetGo’s conventional beverage cooler doors and Cooler Screens’ IoT-connected, 4K smart screens were combined by retail businesses GetGo and Cooler Screens to alter customer experiences. The Azure-based solution upgraded the high-traffic beverage aisle cooler doors to accommodate consumers’ impulsive and on-the-go shopping habits.
