Arrow and IBM have developed a Next-generation Partnership, with IBM Security at the Center of our Ecosystem.

The annual IBM Broad-Reach Cup Regatta and Gala Awards is one of the highlights on the event calendar for Arrow, IBMers, and our partners in the UK and Ireland. Representatives from throughout the IBM ecosystem have gathered on the water for the past 20 years to compete against one another, celebrating and expanding strong connections while honoring the greatest examples of business cooperation.

Things were kind of different this year in Portsmouth, UK, and not only because we experienced the hottest temperatures and lowest breeze in recent memory! Three new award categories were introduced, and Arrow was thrilled to see three of our Business Partners honored:

  • Satisnet was awarded the Community Award for its efforts to promote cybersecurity to institutions.
  • Bell Integration received the Client Success Award for their work with IBM i2 to reduce fraud, as detailed in a recent case study with Sportradar.
  • Persistent won the Innovation Award for its Watson IoT-based Humanoid Concierge.

So, what is it about these partners that divides them? It feels qualified to respond, having worked at Arrow, Portal (a Bell Integration company), and IBM. It’s all about forming new partnerships and using those connections to accomplish things differently.

Arrow is one of the major IBM solution distributors in the world. Since the partnership began in 1982, strived to bring value to our partners’ offerings by assisting them in the development of their solutions—not just through education and enablement, but also via technical and sales assistance.

The resultant solutions are built on a new type of business collaboration, one that combines IBM’s services and know-how with Arrow’s capacity to assist partners in the creation of enhanced technological solutions, as well as our partners’ intellectual property.

IBM experts of various types join Business Partners for a predetermined duration of two to three years as part of the Champions for Growth program. It becomes a part of the organization throughout this period, assisting them with upskilling, embracing new technology, and enhancing solutions and capabilities.
